Released as a LE at the 3rd UK TB Convention on 4th November 2012 in Northampton organised by the retailer Steffans. These beads were also available on-line from Steffans for a short while after the Convention until they ran out.
African Turquoises were also available in the 2011 LE gemstone kit which was released in four countries (UK, Italy, Holland and Belgium), but they had a small (classic) core, so these two releases can be distinguished by the core size.
The UU Convention Turquoise are smooth beads, although my example appears slightly faceted.
