UK bead release no. 11: the LE Cambridge Bead released 21st November 2014.

The UK’s first TB Concept Store (i.e. a shop dedicated to selling Trollbeads) opened at 21, Market Street, Cambridge, on Friday November 21st 2014. There was a VIP Launch the night before on Thursday 20th November 2014, during which 32 “Cambridge Beads” were given to the lucky VIPs, mostly Trollbead collectors. I had an invite but sadly couldn’t make it and collect a bead!

The design featured two wheels representing the bicycles so prevalent in Cambridge, and a line perhaps depicting the River Cam and/or the path, on a beautiful base colour of Cambridge Blue. As they had been made for the event, they were not cored (see photo below by Lisa Pike), and were later sent to Denmark for coring (see photos below by Cloverbead).

The text below in italics is an extract from the press release (published in full by Endangered Trolls):

“Trollbeads Cambridge unveiled their new store on Market Street on Thursday 20th November. The store is the first concept store in the UK for the Danish brand. The evening started with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by the Trollbeads UK & Denmark team with champagne and cupcakes and was followed, by a buffet, wine, a lucky dip and a chance to take home one of the ‘Cambridge’ Beads which were specially created for the event.”
